Cañera
For the design of the Indiano Craft Beer labels, we worked on the idea of language and the meanings that the same word has depending on the Spanish used in each country.
To support the name of each of the varieties based on a word, we used an illustration, which combines the more classic style of an engraving with the carefree scribbling, giving the labels a character that is very different from the classic commercial beer and close to the irreverence of the new craft beers.
Cañera: Colloquial adjective: that gives force, powerful, referring to a drink: strong.
In Dominican Republic: trembling or legs fatigue.
This double meaning serves to add to the name the illustration of the trembling legs that gives personality to the product. The brand’s typical range of colours is an aquamarine green with a lot of personality.
The corporate typography created for the brand is, as always, the protagonist of the product name.
