Asturies deporte y naturaleza (Asturies sport and nature), this is the name and leitmotiv chosen by the Principality of Asturias to present its candidacy as European Region of Sport 2025, which makes perfect sense knowing the perfect link that our region has with nature and which is no exception when talking about sport.

The Asturies Deporte y Naturaleza brand, created for the presentation of the candidature, arises from the concepts: sport and DNA chain. The strokes of the characters have been drawn in such a way that each letter can be read independently while linking with the next to create a unit, this continuity in the stroke, along with the curves and the end in the shape of an arrow, give a great sensation of movement to the group, associating it with sporting activity. The use of dots to complement the glyphs humanises the characters to give them an iconic character, in the style of pictograms.
The colour use completes the concept:
Blue: Asturias, sky, sea/water.
Yellow: Earth, sand, mountain.
Green: Nature, Asturias.
