Asturias Forestry
The mountains and forests are living natural landscapes. For this reason, we have avoided identifying it with a single element that could limit the significance of the brand, taking into account all the meanings behind the name: the geographical and geological part, those referring to the ecosystem and natural environment, the uses, coexistence and exploitation… as well as its idiosyncrasy in the region.
In reference to the geographical importance of Asturias forestry, we have worked with the concept of map/plan and the representation of the mountain on them: the contour lines. In the same way, the rings that show the growth of the trees have, in many cases, a very similar aesthetic to the contour lines. These rings speak to us of years, of tradition and the importance of the trees and the mountain in the life of Asturias.
A brand is proposed whose logo (graphic part) consist of two trees that are crowned by the shapes mentioned above. The trunks are simplified with vertical spots that refer to the use of wood. The green colour is unified in this graphic part to symbolise the layer of vegetation that covers almost all Asturian forestry.
The mountain is a living natural landscape, a cultivation area for forestry, a grazing ground for domestic animals, a source of energy, etc.
